Lee Information

Area

Lee is located mostly in the London Borough of Lewisham and partly in the London Borough of Greenwich. It is centred around Lee railway station, at the foot of Blackheath and leads toward Grove Park.

Lee station provides fast and frequent transport links to the City and West End as well as connections with the Docklands Light Railway at Lewisham and the London Overground at New Cross.

Notable landmarks include St Margarets church (the burial place of three Astronomers Royal), Manor House (the former home of Sir Francis baring, founder of Barings bank, now a library) and the Old Tiger's Head pub in Lee green.

The areas boasts a number of excellent schools including one of the best primary schools in south London, Brindishe and a well-regarded independent school, Colfes.

The conservation area around Manor Park is much sought after and is where you'll find substantial Victorian houses and spacious period conversions.
